Attendance Statuses

We have custom attendance statuses for our clinic to be able to determine appointments cancelled by a patient (and whether they gave notice in advance or last minute) vs. an appointment cancelled by us due to a sick provider, holiday closure, etc. I feel this should be part of the default options for ClinicSource as appointment reminders still go out for custom attendance statuses but not for the default "Cancellation" status already coded into the ClinicSource software

    Having the ability to cx the whole day for a therapist being out or closed for a holiday would help. Thhat may be in another suggestion already though.

    What we have done to help here is to mark "Cancellation" as a same day cx where they may get charged a fee and "Absent" as an advanced notice absence where we do not charge a fee.

    To help determine what is a patient absence/cx vs. a provider being out. We added a different color type of service so instead of it being "blue" to tell the therapist its a session, it shows orange on their schedule. "therapist out" then when we are running a report for absence/cancellations those appointments do not show on the report. Only the patient absences. hope that helps

    I also agree! Our Clinic manually documents those special cancellations so that would save us a lot of time and energy

    YES YES I agree. Another question that I asked about 2 years ago!!!!
